Originality and Plagiarism Policy

As part of the publication process implemented by Jurnal Manajemen Agribisnis dan Agroindustri, each manuscript that successfully passes the initial desk evaluation by the editorial team will undergo a mandatory originality check before it proceeds to the next stages of review and publication. This process is carried out using Turnitin software, a trusted and widely-used tool for detecting textual similarities and potential plagiarism.

The aim of this procedure is to uphold the journal’s commitment to academic honesty and integrity by ensuring that all published manuscripts are original and free from plagiarism. The similarity report from Turnitin will be carefully reviewed by the editors to assess the originality of the content.

To maintain high ethical standards, Jurnal Manajemen Agribisnis dan Agroindustri enforces a maximum similarity index of 25%. Manuscripts with a similarity rate exceeding this threshold may be returned to the authors for revision or, in serious cases, may be rejected. Authors are therefore encouraged to ensure that all sources are properly cited and to paraphrase appropriately when using the ideas or findings of others.

In line with our commitment to originality, we also screen submissions for text potentially generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI). Using the feature available in Turnitin, we ensure that the core of the manuscript including its analysis, arguments, and interpretation is the intellectual work of the author(s). Manuscripts strongly indicated to have been written by AI without substantial authorial contribution will be subject to further evaluation and may be returned for clarification or rejected.

This screening process is an essential step to protect the credibility of the research published and to promote a culture of responsible academic writing within the scholarly community.
